Aquatic by-products are a bio-resource of significant potential – one that can generate value well beyond the fisheries sector. Expanding their use across the agricultural chain is a pathway toward a more circular economy and more efficient use of resources.

🤝 On October 27, 2026, VNF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PetroVietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer and Chemicals JSC (PVCFC – Dam Ca Mau). The two parties will jointly research the application of products derived from VNF’s aquatic by-products across three directions:

🔬 Next-generation fertilizers: integrating bio-based components into fertilizer products to improve nutrient use efficiency and support soil health.

🥭 Post-harvest preservation: developing solutions to extend storage life, reduce losses, and maintain produce quality.

📦 Bio-based packaging: exploring biodegradable packaging materials to reduce environmental impact across the agricultural supply chain.

♻️ For VNF, this collaboration connects our capacity in valorising aquatic by-products with PVCFC’s experience and agricultural ecosystem – jointly seeking practical applications aligned with the circular economy.
